Why we exist
Accessibility is widely misunderstood
Most teams have never seen what a screen reader actually sounds like, don't know which WCAG criteria apply to their situation, or assume accessibility means an overlay widget. Standards documents are written for specialists, not for the developer, designer, or founder trying to do the right thing on a deadline.
Finding real help is hard
When understanding isn't enough and the work needs a specialist, general freelance platforms let anyone claim accessibility expertise with no verification, while enterprise accessibility panels are expensive, closed, and opaque. Qualified testers — including daily assistive technology users — often can't find the work at all.
AccessibilityNexus addresses both: a place to actually understand accessibility, and, for the fraction of visitors who need it, a verified marketplace where trust is built in rather than assumed.
