Professional code of conduct

Every professional on AccessibilityNexus agrees to this code of conduct when creating an account. It exists to protect clients, other professionals, and the credibility of the accessibility field.

As a professional, I agree to:

  1. Represent my skills honestly. I will only claim certifications, experience, and assistive technology skills I actually have.
  2. Only accept work I can perform. I will decline projects outside my competence rather than deliver poor-quality work.
  3. Protect client confidentiality. I will not share client materials, credentials, or findings without permission.
  4. Provide clear deliverables. I will define what clients receive and deliver it as agreed.
  5. Follow accessibility standards. My work will be grounded in WCAG and other relevant standards, not personal opinion alone.
  6. Avoid misleading claims. I will never promise “instant compliance” or guaranteed legal protection.
  7. Respect clients and other professionals. I will communicate respectfully and never disparage competitors to win work.
  8. Deliver work on time. If a deadline is at risk, I will communicate early and honestly.
  9. Communicate professionally. I will keep communication clear, timely, and courteous.

Violations may lead to warnings, suspension of verification, or removal from the platform.
